Flavourest

Went to this newly open cafe called Flavourest.

What had caught my attention is their melting chocolate pie a.k.a smores pie. Pastry crust at the bottom with melted chocolate topped with lightly burned marshmallows. I kinda prefer this to another cafe's smores pie as I found out that this crust is lighter and blend nicely with the melted choco.

Since I asked for chefs' recommendation, I had been given this tom yum (seafood) spaghetti. I would prefer to have my tom yum slightly more towards to sour (more lime juice perhaps) and to have the fragrant of kaffir lime leaves.

This chicken burger is another chef recommended which is served for dinner time only. The chicken patty was juicy and tender. It was served with cucumber pickles, tomatoes, fresh lettuce accompanied with fries and their house-salad. I like to have pickles served with burger, in which I found out that this pickles is slightly too salty to me (I prefer to have my pickles sweet and sour with lightly salted taste). Overall, I do kinda likes  this burger and perhaps with own-made fries/wedges will make this a better choice for me.

Besides this, they bake 3-D cakes, as you can find out for more at this link.

Fuel coffee at Damansara Uptown...

Fuel cafe...

This could be damansara uptown hidden foodie which it looks not so appealing when you pass by the shop...(however,  you will notice an old bicycle placed at the front of the shop with menus written on the blackboard...)

Wait until you step into it to find yourself to be able to taste the old beijing noodles with the crispy chicken chop and taste their authentic bonsai coffee for the mixture of creamy and coffee indulgence.

I have personally fancy this place...for the ambiance of this shop which is simple and not noisy for me to relax with a cup of coffee. I likes the black coffee served by the barista too.

Not to forget to mention the friendly boss and barista whom can really understands your needs to sit and relax in their shop.

For those whom can't take in too salty food might find the old beijing noodles a little salty.. but you can opt to mix in their special own made chilies which looks so similar to lao gan ma chilies.  Alternatively you may ask for a small bowl of soup to dilute the little saltiness in your noodles.

Long black coffee

clear soup with vege (special order)

(pardon me for the shaky hand)

red dates juice (good for ladies)

Sapporo teriyaki chicken (i ordered without rice, and replaced with fries)

noodles with chicken chop (my favorite, I likes the chicken)

Pork chop burger -with own made pork patty.

New dessert selection

New assorted dessert

Bonsai tiramisu...

Fuel coffee has other menus such as noodles, burger, spaghetti, dumplings and rice. (Mixture of Eastern and Western)

***They are closed on every Wednesday.

Home made fried spaghetti

~ My home made fried spaghetti ~

I took some initiative to cook for myself, when nobody is at home. I do not know what to cook until a fine moment I thought of fried spaghetti.

So, I took out a small pot to boil water for the spaghetti and while waiting for the water to boil, I grabbed a few cloves of garlic, peeled off the skin, and chopped them.

Then, I took out the chilli hotdog, let it at room temperature to defrost. At the same time, I searched for spring onion, or parsley (whichever ingredient is in the fridge), and one tomato from the fridge.

I slice a small opening on the posterior and anterior of the tomato, and dumped into the pot of boiling water to enable a smoother and easier peeling of the tomato's skin. Cut the tomato into small cubes and put aside.

Washed the spring onion thoroughly and then pat dry then with a paper towel. Finely chopped the spring onion and put aside.

Now take the chilli hotdog, sliced them into any shape that you would like to stir fry them together with the spaghetti.

Grabbed some spaghetti, put into the boiling water with a pinch of salt and a few drops of olive oil (to ensure the spaghetti to have smoother texture). Then, leave it to boil for about 5 minutes.

While waiting for the spaghetti, heat a pan with adequate olive oil. Put in the chopped garlic to fry and add in a tiny pinch of salt to flavor the garlic. It will force the garlic aroma out completely and then put in the sliced chilli hotdog to fry. Once the chilli hotdog seems to be almost fully cook, put in the tomato cubes. Continue the frying of the tomato cubes with the previous ingredients, until it dried off.

Now the boiled spaghetti should be done, and sieve to dispose all the water. Put the spaghetti into frying pan, and continue to fry; add in the finely chopped spring onion and add in a small pinch of salt to the spaghetti for taste. Continue to fry for 2 more minutes with full heat. Add in pepper (black pepper preferably) and lastly a small mount of lemon juice (depending to how large your spaghetti portion) for taste and aroma.

Close the heat, and serve :)

Satay Celup

Satay Celup!!!!!!

A version of lok-lok, but not with boiling clear soup or tom yum soup.

It's to lok-lok with the boiling secret ingredients' satay sauce.

The bun or mantau... I can't recall the exact name. It taste normal to me, even with the sauce. Maybe I am not a fan of this bun.

The freshly prepared veges, seafood, tofu pok, fu pei, cockles, pig small intestines and etc with the lidi sticks. The combination of fresh foods with the satay sauce was great and totally awesome!!! Satay celup is definitely worth queuing for almost 2 hours during peak season (public holiday). You may find yourself gave up on queuing and opt for others if you did not walk in with a prepared stomach. Some might be lucky that they need not to queue for long as the crowd subside... It's all depending to your time and luck~

Capitol Satay is the shop that almost every food bloggers had mentioned that their "satay celup" is a must to have~

Take a good look at the variety available =)

The pot of original satay celup sauce without the addition of secret ingredients~

The lady boss mixed in some secret ingredient and blend it well before boiling for a greater taste of satay sauce!!!

I must praise the boss for the appreciation towards the customers by giving out some "good loots" such as super size prawns, sliced abalone, and etc. Last but not least, a glass of alcohol mixture with some kind of milk or syrup was given to the customer as the token of appreciation which indeed satisfying after a meal of foods with satay sauce ~

curry puff at Ikea

Curry puff from Ikea....

Ikea indeed has done a good job in serving their customer not only for purchasing of their goods, but also fulfilling their customer's stomach.

The foods provided at their kiosk are affordable, economical and tasty.

There are two set available, which are Hot Dog served with a refill-able drink, and Curry Puff with a refill-able drink. There is a topping section, where the customer can fill in their favourite flavour from sauce to the onions and the greens. The refill-able drinks available are soft drinks-pepsi, 7-up, miranda strawberry and orange; the hot drinks served are coffee and tea.

The food's price did not burn a whole in you pocket and it did not interrupt you budget to purchase the Ikea's goods. Therefore, it was indeed a great concept by Ikea to continue with such a service for their customer.

Not to forget to mention that their curry puff is a signature food item. Almost every of the customer will dropped by to purchase a half dozen of the curry puff as a returning to their homes.

Oh, they served ice-cream cone as well. The taste wise? Splendid....of course, you cannot compare with stores that served ice-cream alone such as Baskin Robin, Haagen-Daas, Natural New Zealand and etc...

Dinner on Sunday night ^_^

I had delayed this blog, because I had fever and nausea after the car service at ipoh on monday until yesterday.

I wonder, the car service that I had done on Friday, christmas eve, they did not gave me the remaining left over engine oil lubricant. Supposedly, the engine oil lubricant has 4L and usually they will have around 1L left over. Where was the remaining 1L? The car service centre eaten up my 1L engine oil lubricant!!!!

Anyway, I am going to complain to them for not giving me the remaining engine oil lubricant during the next visit, and if the next visit they did not gave me back the engine oil lubricant as well, I think I am considering to change car service centre!

Meanwhile on Sunday night dinner....

At last, I had been to Tualang there for seafood dinner!!!!

Belacan fried 'shu miu' (spicy)
Steamed prawns 'rice wine' added in for taste and aroma for fresh prawns

Chilli sauce for the steamed prawns. Superb, espacially the chilli sauce manage to bring out the freshness of the prawns meat!!!!
'Kam Heong' fried crabs. The crabs given were kind of small, would prefer if they got bigger and more flesh crabs.
They gave me the name card and behind the card, there's a map on how to reach Luen Fong.
The front view of the name card, you'll know if you had found Luen fong by 2 big prawns picture at the front door.

- Caribbean Cafe -

Still full until now.

That's what I can describe.

I had driven WC to find her friends, because her poor little Kelisa too small to accommodate 6 person including one little kid.

From Sunway to BK 6, and return to Bukit Jalil and to Kuchai Lama then, reached the Caribbean Cafe.

Well, it's not hard to find with all the helps of WC's friends whom stayed nearby.

Once reached, you'll see a large sign board ' Central Spa'...All I wanted to show here was the Caribbean Cafe signboard. (Ignore my poor photography skill)

Caribbean Cafe's slogan, I guess...Got to ask GY if it's true.

The menu's cover page...

Kam Heung's chicken chop with Rice

Cheesy egg Chicken Chop with mushroom sauce

"Sunrise"

Green Apple Lemonade

There are 3 more drinks that we had ordered, Apple and Orange, Grape Lemonade, and orange juice...but I forgotten to snap the picture...

Nam Yee fried Chicken

Crispy Yam Pear

WC and da gang... lolz

See the little kid, he's eying at the food...

A close up of the little kid's face....

The bill.......

Coincidently today is WC's friend (I can remember the name well, :p) birthday. So we were entitle to get 20% off from the total....

* To enable the birthday discount, the person have to present the Identification card or birth certificate or passport or any other documents that can prove your birth date is on the day you're having at Caribbean Cafe.

Well, overall, WC's friends and her drinks were too sour to drink. All except mine. I guess I am lucky enough to order a drink that's not too sour?!

However, GY got to take note already... hehehe...

The food, mushroom sauce given was too salty... the chicken chop deep fried with flour had already absorbed some salty, and the sauce need not to be so salty as it will cover the chicken's taste.

The Kam heung chicken chop is a new combination for me. Eating the sauce alone was overly salty. I tried to blend the sauce with white rice, to reduce the saltiness, yet I can't bear it. However, I had finished the food as well, because I don't want to waste food.

The Nam Yee fried chicken was good, if we're having beer...that will be a perfect combination.

The yam pear was great. The little kid likes it... lolz...
